I feel like no matter how much weight I lose it will never be enough. How do I get rid of this feeling?
The reason for this feeling – is that you have become ‘addicted’ to losing weight. This is an all too common occurrence.
How you lose this addiction is, of course, a much trickier question to answer.
It cannot come from someone telling you to do this or that – try this trick or that tip – or whatever. It has to come from within yourself.
You actually have to WANT to get rid of the feeling (addiction) enough to take positive ‘action’ – longer-term action. You have to recognise the ‘causes’ of your addiction and not just try to treat the ‘symptoms’ of it…for example; trying meditation, or joining a group, or self-affirmations, or whatever. These things only ease the ‘symptoms’ of addiction (any addiction) they do not cure the addiction..
Everything – everything…regarding health – including mental health and mindset – involves nutrition…not food or a ‘Diet’ – but, proper nutrition – which includes NATURAL vitamins and supplements – which are missing from even the most (seemingly) healthy diet.
However much weight you lose – be aware that, unless you continue on a downhill course to anorexia, you will eventually (always) end up with your natural body shape – (unless, of course, you let yourself go and put on weight again, by making poor ‘food’ and lifestyle choices.)
If your natural body shape, includes some curves that you cannot be comfortable with, you will always be fighting your weight…to the detriment of your health and well-being.
If your natural body shape is not that of a super-model – you can only ever achieve that shape temporarily, unless you continue to undermine your health to do so.
The ‘secret’ (ah, there is no secret) to REAL and permanent weight loss is to develop your mindset to eat to live – not live to eat.
Eating is NOT a pastime or entertainment, it is not an art form, it is not an endless yo yo of ‘cheat foods’ and ‘treats’ and ‘Diets, and fasting…and all the rest.
Eat ‘real’ food (nothing in a packet or box) whenever you’re hungry – NO food should be regarded as a ‘reward’ or a ‘treat’.
Do not try to starve yourself, do not obsess about your weight (this is easier said than done, of course). Forget all the (for profit) Diet regimes and so-called weight loss products.
Yes, weight loss tips, tricks and ‘hacks’ may work for a while – but, they are not permanent solutions – and invariably lead to other complications…like your current addiction for example, or other health and mental issues – caused by a lack of proper nutrition.
In the end, with the right mindset – changing your lifestyle choices – for the good of your overall health (rather than just to try to lose weight) your longevity and weight, will also naturally improve. Changing your mindset – in the long-term, is not as difficult as embarking on an endless round of ‘Diets’ and weight loss regimes…and it will lead to permanent overall improvements.
My latest book ‘REAL Weight Loss’ will help you develop the right mindset to help to fight your addiction…
The last thing you need is endless ‘advice’ and tips, tricks and hacks that will only lead to temporary solutions.…
‘Weight Loss’ is a $multi-billions industry…look around at all the over-weight people there still are in the world – and go figure…Obviously the weight loss industry is good for profits – but, not good for losing weight!
